FIRST Robotics Challenge Colorado Regional
These 120lb robots are suspended in the air, and they got themselves there with the help of a teleoperated driver. This years FIRST challenge was all about throwing a frisbee. Well, and climbing this structure. This high school challenge began in January, and the students had 6 weeks to build their robot for this specific challenge.

DU Richie Center
The event was held at the Richie Center on DU campus in Denver. It was a 3 day event, Thursday-Saturday. I could only go on Saturday (since I have class during the week). I woke up early to get down there, and took Katherine with me. This year, the event was packed more than I think I've ever seen it before - which is a really good thing.

Taking Katherine to this event, she had one thing to say about it; "It really explains a lot you" (speaking to me of course). And it really does. I competed in this event for 7 years, and shaped the reason I am studying engineering today. SO yes, it might explain a lot about me, but I think it says something about her as well - she woke up at 7:30 on a Saturday morning, drove 80 miles to this event with me, and was considering staying when I had to leave (since we drove separate). SO this might say something about me, but we already knew how big of a nerd I was.
STOP!
The thing with "STOP!" on it is the main power switch. The red button on the top will kill all power to the robot. This is a rather messy wiring job.
