It was a pretty hot and humid day so we didn't stay for very long, but they have some wonderful gardens that are free to the public. There were a ton of little rivers and waterfalls that led to a giant pond. Soft TreeThis looked like some kind of conifer tree but it was really soft and a lot lighter than most conifers. Twisted BudThrough the ArborWhite TipsFull OrangeOrange and Purple PeppersWeird WaspI've never seen this kind of wasp before, but it was pretty and fit in the color scheme of this flower. Red SpiderwootThis is the stem of a red spiderwoot flower. There were no flowers on the end of the stems, but the stems looked pretty wicked. Port of DubuqueWe also went down the the Port of Dubuque and walked around and went into the musuemBumblebeeWe found some flowers over by the river that were swarming with bumblebees.
