Chapungu Sculpture Garden
Katherine and I wanted to get out of the house, but with Katherine's ankle still sore from a hike several weeks ago, we didn't want to go hiking. We decided to walk around the Chapungu Sculpture Garden in Centerra. We had always know it was there, but had never stopped.
Chapungu Sculpture Park
Unamused
Katie took it upon herself to pose in front of as many sculptures as she could. Thus sculputer is called Togetherness in Family by Faro Mavunga.
Hugs
This sculpture is "Grandson Protecting Grandfather" with Katie protecting both, I guess. It was sculpted by Enos Gunja
Lovers
This sculputer is called Lovers. I guess that makes Katherine the 3rd wheel. It was sculpted by Tendayi Mutasa
Brown noser
This is a Rhino Head (that's the name of the piece), sculpted by Benard Matemera
Across the Lake
Spirit Protecting Family
This sculpture was sculpted by Fabion Madamombe and is named Spirit Protecting Family.
Dead Trees
The area was beautiful. Lots of green but also some dead grass and trees.
Mawuya
Mawuya means Welcome to the Chapungu. This was sculpted by Colleen Madamombe.

This piece is titled "Bringin the Family Home" sculpted by Saidi Sabiti
Comforting my Child
Katherine is interrupting this person with their child. But that's OK because they are just a sculpture. This sculpture is called "Comforting my Child" by Sylvester Mubayi.
Possessed by the Rain Spirit
Now I know what's wrong with Katie, she's possessed by the rain spirit (title of this piece). Sculpted by Ndale Wilo.
Stuck Head
Katherine didn't get her head stuck, but I'm sure she was pretty close to needing help getting out. This sculputer was sculpted by December Mbonge and is titled "Chapungu Feeding the Families".
Through the Eyes
This sculpture is named "N'anga and His Owl", sculpted by Amos Supuni. It's one of my favorite sculptures that we saw at the park today.

This sculpture is titled "The Good Shepherd" by Henry Munyaradzi.
Peaking Underneath
This sculpture is depicting a woman crossing the river, but Katherine saw it as a different opportunity. Sculpted by Jonathan Gusta and titled "Crossing the River"
Sadness
This sculpture is titled Rural Mother by Benjamin Katiyo.
Robin
I don't take many pictures of birds, but this one was walking around the park and didn't seem afraid of me.
The Generations
This sculpture is titled "The Generations" sculpted by Joe Mutasa.
Bridge To the Other Side
There were several bridges in the park. It's a really nice walk.
Mirrored
Katherine isn't tall enough to quite pull off this mirror, but she has the pose down perfectly! This sculpture is titled "Back to my Roots" by Jonathan Gusta.
Leap Frog
Not sure the sculpture artist intended people to do this, but that's what Katherine did! This is titled "Leap Frog" by Dominic Benhura.
