Across the Bridge

This area must flood often for there to be a bridge here. This was on the walk to Horseshoe Bluff. We took the long way (we didn't park at the area designated for horseshoe bluff - mainly because we didn't know where we were going or what was out there). Our hike was probably around 5-6 miles round trip and took us a few hours to complete. Despite it being Iowa and I used to hike in Colorado, this was a very difficult hike, mainly because of the high temperatures and humidity. Katherine and I were both sweating more than we would like to admit.
