Interesting Drive Train

I thought it was interesting that this model A tractor had a gear on the inside rim of the wheel that was driving the wheels instead of the traditional way of the drive train output shaft being inline with the wheel axle. The axles are like this to be adjustable so that the tractor could be worked in fields with different row spacing. This tractor was produced from 1934-1952.
