Spining Mechanism

This is a close up image of an automatic pilot vertical gyro for aviation. I found it in part of the Buffalo Bill Museum in Le Clarie, Iowa. The whole museum was filled full of antiques that mostly had little to nothing to do with Buffalo Bill, but I had fun taking phones none the less. This item was something you could walk right up to. They were lacking "do not touch" signs, so I moved it around and spun it in every direction since that's what you can do with gyros.
