"Engineering" Competition
This is the time of year when all the projects are due (something I should have been doing while I was spectating this event). This is the MECH 202 design competition. It's a class all mechanical engineers have to take sophomore year. I took it last semester, and was not happy with the results, like students in the past. Again, students this year left wishing that these teachers never taught at CSU. But that's a different story. Anyway, here are a few photos.

Ordainment Hanging Mechanisms

The Challenge
Basically, the students had extremely difficult design criteria that got changed at the last minute because the students needed to "design for variability" - where in the real world, you would probably get sued for the analogous types of changes they made. Anyway, they had to hang this foam ordainment on the post that was 44" from the base. The device in the left is Katherine's and her groups entry.
