Iowa State Penitentiary

On our way to Iowa City, we stopped in Anamosa, Iowa to see the Anamosa Penitentiary. We stopped there because Trip Advisor said it was the most interesting thing between our home and Iowa City (which is sad since Iowa City was an hour and a half away). It was a really cool building and I'm glad we stopped! Afterwards we did some research and found out it is a current maximum security prison for men with over a thousand inmates! That's pretty scary!
