Homecoming Weekend 2012 Parade
This is the Formula SAE Race Car that several students create as part of their senior design project. To be on the FSAE team, you have to start as a freshman until you are a senior and can actually contribute to the project.
The FSAE team always has this car out in the plaza during the school year, but it was never moving or even on. This is the first time (in the 4 semesters I have been here) that I've seen this thing moving. It was fairly exciting.

I got some new shoes this weekend. It's been almost 2 years that I've had my old ones, and REI was doing a 20% off sale, so I figured I would but a new pair. Since I go climbing about 3 times a week this semester, I figures I could easily justify buying a new pair.

Rocky Mountain Center Ice Showdown 2012
This weekend, I went to a hockey game with some friends at the Pepsi Center in Denver. Whenever we're playing our rival, it makes for an interesting game.
At the start of the game, we were loosing pretty bad. CU got the first two points early in the game and I was pretty sure we had lost. But in the second period, CSU kicked it up and kicked CU's ass. The end got pretty pathetic when we got 3 goals in the last period. I guess this is just CSU's year to beat CU.

Pictures of the Actual Hockey
This is just one of many action shots. I never realized how easy it is to photograph ice hockey, mainly because the ice is white - which reflects a lot of light back. Usually at sporting events the lighting is just so horrid that I need to use a high ISO, which makes for a grainy photo. Not here though

Halloween Birthday Party
This weekend I helped decorate Katherine's apartment for a party celebrating three different birthdays, Amber, Julie, and Joel. It just so happens that Amber's birthday was Saturday, and since that's the weekend before Halloween, there was a party! The decorations were pretty intense. I spent a total of about two hours with the help of a Katherine and Amber decorating. The basement was covered in black with a strobe light for the entire night - rave central. Probably one of the best Halloween event I've gone to, just hanging out with friends and celebrating birthdays.
