Katherine and I went into Roosevelt Park in Dubuque and were quite surprised with how dense it was with trees. It almost felt like we were somewhere in Colorado. There was a dirt road that you could take through the park, and then little paths off the road that barely looked like an actual path. It was pretty fun!

Katherine and I spent the afternoon in downtown Dubuque. We went to the Old Jail Museum as well as getting on top of a few parking structures to take some photos of the city.

Katherine and I went down to the first ever Des Monies Comic Con. It was a little bit of a drive, but it was worth it! Just two engineers nerding out for a day

Katherine and I went to the House on the Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin. It is a crazy attraction, that has a lot of cool architecture and a lot of unique collectibles and contraptions.

Today was my birthday. I was traveling for work today, so I didn't get home until about 5pm, and when I did, Katherine had these balloons out for me. She definentely gets bonus points for the balloons with my name on them.

The city of East Dubuque were doing fireworks at night a week before the Fourth of July. Katherine and I decided to go on top of a parking structure in downtown Dubuque to take some photos.
