Katherine and I went on a short walk on the Heritage Trail in Dubuque. It was the last weekend that we thought the temperature would be in the 50's so we went out to enjoy it.

Katherine and I went up to the Julian Dubuque Monument in the Mines of Spain. We have only been there once before, and the weather was pretty nice for us to be outside for a little while. We ended up on a short hiking trail that we had never been on before that was pretty fun.

Katherine, her mom, and I went up to Estes Park to go to a food tasting. While we were up there we showed Katherine's mom the venue we picked out. While we were there I took some photos.

This is one of the several squirrels that Katherine's mom feeds. There is only one that she actually feeds (quite literally the squirrel will eat from her hands), but they always throw peanuts out on their deck for the squirrels.

Katherine and I had one thing in mind when we got back to our Iowan home - get a tree and get the Christmas lights up. We even fit a 7 foot tree inside my tiny Toyota Corolla. We put up infinitely more lights than any of our neighbors, but we even put up over 1,000 lights on our patio alone. Katherine takes her Christmas lights pretty seriously.
